on the ole outback highway
every year
for the past three
they have themselves a festival
called coyote
and i will tell ya
the magic of that area
is ever present
the mineral rich water
silty salt flats
incredible down pours give way to dust clouds or wind storms
that move in and move out in minutes
clearing the way for some of the most rich golden open sunsets i have ever seen
big sky country
every time i see the most incredible rainbows
one was quiet broad with a thick perfect pallet pulled behind the clouds and hills
the only time ive ever seen a moon-bow was out therr
well anyhow
we played a longish set to an enthusiastic all age crowd well into the night
special thanks to Dwayne keeper and steward of the land
as well as the folks who drove all the way from hood river to see us
set ended sweaty and smiling
took a full late night soak
whooped it up over a bottle of ambush mills
and set off the next morning
back to bend
blessed and great-full
